Children with disabilities of the social program ‘Hello. Life’ continued the individual exercise therapies, despite the situation created by # Covid19. Specialist team therapists are continuing the work, through video tutorials where they instruct the parents of the children to perform the necessary exercises to continue the improvements. Training families with children with disabilities is very important so that these children can make progress and live their lives to its fullest.

‘Hello ... life’ is a social program that provides home services for the integration of children with disabilities in remote areas of the country. It was first implemented in Albania in 2017, after World Vision published the findings of the national study on the prevalence of disability. The study showed that 70,000 children with disabilities live in Albania. Only 8% of them managed to get basic services. Economic hardship, distance from centers, lack of transportation or mentality are just a small part of a long list of factors why children could not get the specialized services they needed.

In these circumstances, "Hello ... life" started the service by sending teams of specialists to visit the children in their homes and provide therapy for them according to their diagnosis. Children are followed step by step based on individual development plans designed for them.

Tu-ngjat-jet today offers therapy for more than 72 children with disabilities and their families, in the villages of Librazhd, Prrenjas, Dibra and Bulqiza. Hello, through the mobile units, provides material assistance and psycho-social support for the family of the child with disabilities and consultations for members of the community where the child lives.
