After the deadly explosion that shook Beirut on Tuesday evening, Terre des hommes is mobilising to help the Lebanese population. Some of our local teams are currently in Beirut to provide emergency aid, with a particular focus on protection and psychological support for children and families.
The toll of the disaster is still provisional: nearly 160 dead, 5,000 injured and dozens of people missing. Already affected by a serious economic crisis, social tensions and paralysed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Lebanon – which hosts nearly one million Syrian and Palestinian refugees – is on its knees. The population needs your support, you can donate here!
Tdh teams have been working alongside children and families in Lebanon since 1977.
