„I am more self-confident, I can speak up more openly to people around me and I've seen how my colleagues got involved, the school no longer looks like a prison, it's a place where we can go and feel safe just like we do in a family and we know no one would be judgmental and we are quite enthusiastic, especially the younger ones when they see the walls so colorful, you can see the joy on their faces and I see how they play now in the space and area we created, it's magnificent." (child participated in the REVIS project in Romania)

The REVIS project had an ambitious objective, to accompany through a path at least 1600 children and young people in four countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania Serbia): exploring first the positive and harmful social and gender norms and their influence on peer violence, then attending for a year regular group activities to challenge harm-inducing norms and promote positive behaviour, continuing with a tailored participatory action research with the full participation and leadership of children and youth to map on how to intervene in cases of peer violence. At the end phase of the project the involved children and young people showed a significant sign of empowerment via creating their own prototype ideas to reduce peer to peer violence and proposing these in the frame of a national design thinking contest. Some of these prototype ideas are being implemented and there are also parallel child-led social media campaigns presenting the young social influencers' products and calling the attention to important messages identified by them.

This English webinar will introduce some solutions developed by the children and young people at country level, providing also time for common reflections and questions.
